Location: Oconto Falls, WI | It is a good lure, but I found mine to be more temperamental than I liked. What I mean is if you didn’t pay attention to what you were doing it would quite working right, and didn’t work as well in chop. I ended up liking the small doc better, but once I found the Lee Lures Fish Stick HD that is all I throw now. Very easy to work, and it being larger than the phat boy and the small doc doesn’t seem to hinder it’s effectiveness early in the year. |

Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | These work best with a little more weight and a steel leader,....... I like em...Short twitches gives it good action . I also throw a Weagle a bunch, but it has a lot different action than the Phat boy.

Location: brooklyn park mn | hard for me not to throw phat boys for hours when i start using them. I rank it up there with the jackpot on how i use my rod for the action. Great on a fish that follows weagle or homewreaker but doesn't strike/good throw back bait.
