| Mojo have a clearcoat. Cady don't. Also, a lot of the Cady's have a white dot on their head, but not all of them. Edited by muskydeceiver 2/12/2010 6:10 PM | |||

Posts: 1243 Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | Bob, There's a couple of ways that can be indicators. One would be the paint job. Many of the patterns were different from a Cady to a Mojo. When Luke frequented the boards more often he was great about clarifying if they were a Mojo or not just by a picture. If you have a postal scale, the Cady Weagles will likely be slightly heavier. But if the weights are the same and paint jobs are identical, I don't know of a way to tell any difference. Aaron

Posts: 443 Location: Indiana | Not always true about the clearcoat. Many mojo weagles had nice clearcoats. Many early and many of the final four runs had thick clear coats.

Posts: 8845 | Weight, paint job, type of wood... Some of Steve's later models did have clearcoat, so that's not necessarily a good indicator. Your best bet would be post a picture of it.

Posts: 646 Location: In a shack in the woods | I can't get to the laptop right now to post pics. I'm on my phone. I have a perch with clearcoat that I'm sure is a mojo and the other has chart bottom with black top. Scales down the sides black dots with chart webbing. The eyes are recessed not flush clearcoat like the perch

Posts: 646 Location: In a shack in the woods | im guessing mine is cady after seeing the nose. the nose on mine has a little step by the rivet. on the perch one it doesnt have that. the eyes are different though. mine in question has recessed eyes. Edited by bassinbob84 2/13/2010 6:44 PM

Posts: 646 Location: In a shack in the woods | The guy I bought it from didn't think it was. He said it was either early mojo or late cady but wasn't sure.

Posts: 137 | Can anyone picture a 2065 episode of antiques roadshow right now? Or more likely, pawnstars, probably. "What we have here, is a genuine stink pickle Weagle by Steve Cady, estimated at auction to be worth $8,000 to $10,000. I'll give you $500 for it." Edited by The Toad 2/14/2010 12:05 PM
