| Rapala Tournament Fishing" for Wii does include Muskies as a species you can target. There are 2 water body choices for Muskies in the game, both from Minnesota. Lake Minnetonka and Mille Lacs.
You use both the Wii remote and the Nunchuck in the game. The nunchuck is the 'crankin handle' and you turn it as if you were cranking a reel and you hold the Wii remote like the fishing rod. It reacts to your movements of the rod. Therefore it allows you to jerk the baits, straight reel, etc. You jerk the rod up, your rod tip goes up. You jerk to the side, your rod goes to the side. You can't figure 8 though.
Obviously being a 'Rapala' game, your lure and equipment choices are limited to Rapala brand items. You can use Floaters, Divers, Skitter Pops, Skitter Walks, Super Shad Raps (best for muskies), Regular Shad Raps, and Countdown lures.
Locations you can fish include Minnesota, Alaska, Florida, California, Texas, Arkansas, New York, Amazon, Finland, Mongolia and Africa. The species you can target include LM and SM Bass, Walleye, Crappie, Musky, Northern Pike, Striped Bass, King Salmon, Silver (Coho) Salmon, Arctic Grayling, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Taimen (hard fighting acrobatic fish that love topwaters), Tiger Fish (20 pound ferocious fish related to Piranha) and Nile Perch (largest fish in the game weighing up to 400+ lbs).
My biggest observations about the game are that the environments are quite small (you only get a tiny portion of each water body to fish - not much to explore) and it's quite easy to catch fish, even muskies. Overall though, it's a pretty fun game that most people and especially kids would enjoy.
The only other Wii game that I know of that contains muskies is Shimano Xtreme Fishing which was just recently released. |
