| What kind of speed do you troll at?
What is the fastest you have ever caught a muskie trolling?
Norm: 2.3mph
Fastest: 5.5mph

| I have done best at 2.8 to 3.2 and zig zag. (this is with cranks in open water or along structure)
The fastest has been around 4 with a spinner bait over the weed tops. |

| Won a Tournament once with 5 fish caught pulling Spoonplugs & Hellbenders at no slower than 8.7 mph on a digital speedo. Lost 1 nice fish as well. All caught on the 1st day of a two day tourney. Caught one on topwater the second day. All 5 fish were caught at high speed. No bites when we slowed down. |

|
| I pull planer boards so I troll between 2 and 3.5mph up to 4mph. Most fish seem to come in the 2.5-3mph range. |

| Hey TM!
What baits are you trolling when running over 5 MPH? I know big spinnerbaits will run at that speed, but what else? |
|
| |
|
| The last 3 trips out we have boated 18 muskies, 3 over 40" also 29 pike, 5 over 35",, slowest fish 4 mph. fastest fish, 12 mph. Most fish around 6/8 mph. [] |

| Check out the new musky hunter Dale Wiley wrote an article in there about High Speed trolling. It was pretty interesting and gives you reasons to go even faster:) Check it out |

Believers ( but not too long before they lose their tails) wileys, trophy divers, Jakes, sledges and few others [;)]
All those listed do not need any assistance but others can be trolled fast with a bit of lead attached to the leader. [:sun:] |
