Anybody kept track on how many hours spent on the water fishing in '09 ?

Posts: 123 | It was easy for me as I only fished 8 days. My best guess would be just under 70 hours. I didn't catch a muskie my first trip out, but caught one each of the other 7 days on the water. Largest was a 49". Had my 3rd straight year without losing a fish, so I think I've caught the last 20 I've hooked. I don't have a boat anymore so I probably won't fish muskies again for a few years until I can get another one. Paying for kids' braces and a new car in the meantime. With c&r I'm sure they'll still be there in 2013.

That's the same number of hours I ended up with! I don't know what my actual total of hours was. But I didn't really start getting out until mid fall this year. So the season was way too short for me. Aaron

Posts: 1169 Location: New Hope MN | Wow. I thought i fished a ton, but when i looked back it looks like under 200 hours. I lost more fish this year than any other. My hook setting was horrible

Posts: 4080 Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | I stopped counting after 800 hrs. because the fish caught, to hrs. fished raito was to depressing to me. But the good part of fishing was that I got to fish with different people more and learned more about the waters that I fished. 2010 WILL be a better yr. of catching more Big Fish for me, since I'm another yr. Posts: 1438 | With a remodel project on the house my poor boat was off the trailer 4 times this year. Add that to the 6 times it floated last year and I'm really considering selling the poor girl. She deserves better than me.

I would say over 1000+, I was unemployed from opening day until beginning of august and during that time frame I was fishing 15-18 hour days every day of the week. I am glad I don't know the exact number because the hours fished to fish caught ratio is well over 100:1, but it was enjoyable anyways.
