Posts: 16632 Location: The desert | Clue 1: The snow is headed our way for sure Tomorrow through Wednesday looks to be pure Hell on the Roads, So Soon it'll be The time the dates here indicate it should be! Answer: Winter Clue 2: Five there are, all bunched up and nice, sharing the wonder of the winter brought ice. Answer: Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana Clue 3: Something surrounds three, something you can see, that's the thing that defines places like me. I am a lady. Not me, of course, if you think I-I-I-I am a lady, I think you are the rear part of a horse. Answer: Mississippi Clue 4: I am a lady, Ole Miss I am, now where exactly AM I that makes a tinker's dam? OK, breaking character here, put the clues together; write them down without all the wrong guesses, write down the correct guesses, and the answer should leap out at you. Or not. Three sides of me...there are five... sun sets on the lady...you have a hat, I know this to be- the absolute truth, no question to me-use your noggin thinking forward and back, use it for more than just a hat rack! We know Mississippi (Ole Miss) is a correct guess, you see, and that the sun sets on the lady...this one's easy...where must you be-to have the sun set---on the lady? And where must I be to have things like Ole Miss (including) on three sides of me? Answer: Wisconsin Clue 5: 12 1 I sing. Answer: La Clue 6: North of there is a place the Riddler knows, it's where it gets cold and usually snows. Number_____ North to One Potato Answer: Oneida Co. Clue 7: South Answer: Langlade Co. Clue 8: Many years back, when wood boats and little aluminum were common; not much later fiberglass boats black. We have established a rough geographical area important to the item/occurrence/whatever you are seeking. Next, I'm going to get a timeline established so you know the 'when' of it. Some of the clues are mathematical ciphers, some are based on geography, and some are historical; ALL are connected. If you want to see how this process works, use the search function for previous hunts. Pay attention to the right guesses, please....you don't have much chance of a win if you haven't looked at where we are so far. If you are here (a muskie angler), you already know the answer to this and could win today, you just don't KNOW you know. The story of it from the last, it's lore and it's true, to the North one must go to see what they did do. Answer: Suick Clue 9: Addict nails it, Suick it is, now where would the Riddler have been going with this? The lore of the Suick, Pelican Lake 30 in 30 days record and all, and Suick's Antgo location in Langlade County was the ball you wanted to hit dead center with your mind-bat, now let's discover where the real prize is at! NOW FOR THE SCAVENGER HUNT!! The prize is here, right under your nose, virtual it is, on OutdoorsFIRST it's close, one of the websites holds the winning thing you have been seeking from the beginning. Clue 10: Red and Yellow Answer: Orange Clue 11: Orange is indeed the yellow and red indeed, now the color of the Suick is what we need. Forget the red, just the others now, let's hear the guesses of the color that's...wow! Answer: Orange Fire Tiger suick Clue 12: Which hides the image and where, it it really in cyberspace, is it really there? And the Final Answer is: If you dont know where to start, go back to the beginning. I always knew the movie Escanaba in da Moonlight would come in handy! So I went back to the beginning and look what I found.. http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=9&...

Posts: 32888 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Searching using the 'search' function won't work, because back then images couldn't be embedded in a post, and I didn't use the term 'Suick' in the edit to the original thread.. Even if there are 10 pages with 'right' answers, one has to understand the clues AND the answers to look in the right places which means studying all the answers and clues is necessary. Next time it could be on another site altogether or perhaps on a website outside of OFM. I don't know how many times I said 'one'. And, I actually told you where it was in the Scavenger Hunt post and the last clue. 'NOW FOR THE SCAVENGER HUNT!! The prize is here, right under your nose, virtual it is, on OutdoorsFIRST it's close, one of the websites holds the winning thing you have been seeking from the beginning.' Right here, under your nose. From the beginning

These contests always finish during finals week and this year I have actually been studying more than digging through posts all over. I'm glad it's over and glad you won! Definitely didn't focus on the studies as much! Big thanks to everyone on OutdoorsFirst. Posts: 32888 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Let me assist, so you better understand the twisted mind of the Riddler. The first few clues led to Wisconsin. One of 5 states in a band attached to the Great Lakes Three sides of your target are surrounded by water One of the wateraways has the sun set on it from your target. that waterway had to be the Mississippi, Ole Miss, the Lady, get it? Wisconsin is the only answer for the sun to set on Ole Miss and be surrounded on three sides by water, sorta La is the first two letters in Langlade County. I was pointing to Suick's Antigo, WI location North One Potato, a play off the Oreida advertisement, One ida...Oneida. That was leading to Pelican lake where the Suick set a record of 30 fish in 30 days years ago. Ore-Ida® Manufacturer of frozen potato products www.oreida.com/ - Cached - Similar - Note the potatoes are frozen. I talked about that. Also, potatoes are the number one crop in Langlade County, I am amazed no one dragged Norm and his beavers into this. Put Langlade County and Antigo, and Oneida County and Pelican together, and the obvious answer if you have visited the Suick website in your search or looked up the history on this...is Suick. Gave you the color of the bait that was hidden here Gave you, LITERALLY, the exact location...the beginning of the place right under your nose...opening pages of MuskieFIRST. Mike went there and found the image; and won. The next Hunt will provide prizes for correct answers all the way through. Thanks for breaking your mind playing!! By the way, it takes me seconds to post new clues. I don't have anything written down, etc., I create them on the spot. How? I had a bunch of kids, and read Cat in the Hat books to them about a thousand times. Easy.

Posts: 956 Location: Home of the 2016 World Series Champion Cubs | Not complaining at all. I had a good time trying to play along. I came up with other viable answers along the way and couldn't put the right answers together at the end to find the prize. congrats to Pointer and thanks to you, Steve, and to all of the sponsors for putting together a nice prize package.
