Looks like I will hitting the books to take the Captains test. Ordered the on-line course today. Now that the Coast Guard has decided to enforce the law on in-land waters guides will have to have the 6-pack license. Hope this old dog can learn some new tricks. Also working for Thorne Bros. and hitting the gym.

Good luck, Murphfiveroom

Going to try for some Browns this winter for a change.
Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison & Rockford fishing shows. Need a few three rods & reels this time around.
Reels all need to be re-conditioned, replace all line on all.
Make leaders & QS rigs.
Replace hooks & split rings on a few lures.
Replace eyelet tips on 2 rods. Try to fix one with busted tip.
Clean out all tackle boxes, re-sort and re-pack.
Confirm a few trips for 2010.
look at Lake maps galore & mark best routs on the driving maps.
Fix or replace one depthfinder.
Find out why the OB motor trim suddenly does not want to work, then just as suddenly will work. That scares me!
Replace/Install new CD player/stereo & speakers in boat, add another set of speakers in back.
Install on board battery charging system.
Fix battery harness's so they are secure & are legal, replace broken strap mounting brackets. Correction, replace ALL strap brackets!
Fix existing prop & purchase backup prop.
Replace broken or burnt out bulbs on trailer.
Replace winch & strap on trailer.

Perfect, I just copied & pasted this on my to do list!

Back up north to snowmobile. If the weather goes as forecasted, I might get to ride from Roscoe Sunday! Anything that gets me to the northwoods!

Ice fishing, working on my old car and studying to get into grad school this winter. And of course, working like usual.
