I acquired this from a friend this week. In my searching I only found one reference to Suicks with the detachable hooks. It said they were only made for a year and were not popular so they were discontinued.

Reminds me of the river model Mudpuppy lure.

Any info on this lure would be appreciated.

I bought one brand new in the late 80's early 90's, don't know how long it was on the shelf. Sucked ripping through weeds.

Unless there were tons made in that one year I'm pretty sure they were made longer than that. Give Steve Suick a call and I'm sure he would be happy to answer your Q's.
