| How many guys have tied with skunk tails?
I tried some for the first time last week, and if they dyed them, I'd never use bucktails again.
In this age of wads of Flashabou, it was nice to work with hair again, and I bet that they will still catch fish just like they have since the 19??'s.

Location: Pewaukee, WI | I've tried 'em Beav and don't really care for them. While the length of material is great, I find that they seem to have an oily matted look to them as if they were dunked in Brylcream. They also were somewhat void of any action in the water IMO. |

Location: Germantown, WI | I've tied several lures using skunk tails. It is much easier to use than bucktail. Sometimes it is greasy and sometimes it isn't. You definitely need to dry it out well before trying to tie with it. As far as action, I don't see much difference between skunk and deer tails, except for skunk generally being longer which should tend to create more movement in the water. I don't know if the smell really makes a difference, but I sure don't think it hurts anything. While I've done OK using skuntails my brother has really had some impressive success with them. |

| The ones that I bought were tanned very nicely with no oil to them at all. I made a bunch, so I'll have to wait until next year to see what happens. I hope something good.
Thanks,
