Got out Friday afternoon for a couple of hrs in Madison with Waldo and we got two including my biggest WI fish - this chunky 47 1/2" that hit a sucker on one of Brad Nelson's QS rigs.

Lost a very big fish tonight at last light 48"+ on a 10" weagle, what a heart breaker . had 5 blow ups in 40 min on the weagle in the same spot for sure had the same fish hit at least twice.

we had a good hunt this weekend and got the freezer needs taken care of ... headed back out after a couple days of work to wait patiently for a shooter buck. hope to get a chance at one this year. got a new gun and shot everything at or over 150 yards so it was an absolute hoot!! good friends, good food and a memorable opening weekend at camp once again.

Hit the mountain ski slopes for the first time in 10 years. Knocked the rust off and had a blast on Wolf Mountain, despite only one run being open.

No deer/fish reports here, but I must say the Packers looked very good at times again on Sunday. I was able to see it up close and personal in the third row. Had a blast with my brother, uncle and other family.
I should be out in the boat this coming weekend though.

That top fish is beautiful! Almost looks like a tiger with those markings.

People posting here about deer hunting, football, .........skiing and even Muskie or two. Me, no muskies to report but a great first weekend deer hunting in Illinois (see whitailfirst report) ,now pointer makes me jealous talk'n bout skiing. But right behind deer season I'm stoked about the Blackhawks winning their 7th in a row including the first 3 ofthe long " circus road trip" over Calgary Edmonton and Vancouver (2 of last years playoff opponents). Now i can get back to muskie fishing that the freezer is full.

I had the pleasure of taking my wife out for her first time ever deer hunting. It was a special time!
Sunday morning we saw three big does and a very large bodied 8 pointer run directly at us at "warp speed" for all of 4 or 5 strides at about 150 yards out before taking a hard right into thick cover.
She lamented that, "It happened so fast! How could I get a shot at any of them? Can we get a do over?
Why on all the TV hunting shows and on videos do the big bucks stand still and broadside?"
As Will Primos says, The pictures may be a little shaky, a little out of focus, but this ain't Hollywood!
Welcome to the real world!
We had a button buck walk under us at 4:20PM yesterday.
She can't wait until next Saturday to get back out again. I have created a monster!
I pray that the hunting gods give her a decent shooting opportunity!

Got out around the Bemidji area and a buddy hooked this 44 3/4 before the winds kicked up to around 25-30 MPH.

Sunday watched the Vikes kick some major butt again. Could this be the best Favre has ever played?!? I think so.

put a good friend of mine on his first ski, she hit on the 8 ,what an experience. he was so shaken couldnt even stand up for pic. lol funny thing is first time i took him after 2 hours of fishing he told me he thought that figure 8ing was a waste of time, that there wasnt no way a fish would come up to boat. we netted 3 more low 30s.

Shaley you gotta keep Travis from catching all those 50s you have to catch some too so he can't get all of them.
