Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | Got my new "Mega" rods read to go as will as my Mag and Casting rods. Two sizes and three powers. Plus all rods come with a standard handle and an extension to make the rod handles 18" long. Took a while and broke a lot of rods but we finally got the handles right and they are tough. Key was making the aluminum screw attachment long and also incorporating the rod blanks inside of them so they become one unit. I can stand on the handles now. And for you warranty lovers, I put a 5 year warranty on these vs the 2 year I was going to go with. Figured if you can't break it in 5 years your not going to. Also have a $5 flat rate shipping on them for USA orders. New double #10s and double #13s too. Lightened up the blades from 040 to 032 because you had to "kick start" the ones with the 040. Good points with the 032 blades are you don't have to kick start them anymore and they won't warp like the 024s will. Although I have yet to warp an 024 blade but I have seen plenty of them warped from a few of my buddies tackleboxes.... Also had a slight problem with some of the red and perch blades chipping and got those fixed now too with new etching primer on the base of all of the painted blades. Good stuff. More will be out soon. Hope to get better pictures of the bucktails but I only had about 2 hours to work on them this weekend. They look much better in person. Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | Not sure if I will get into the MN Expo in 2010 or not. I would love to go but with a full time job and little vacation its hard to do. Those darn kids keep wanting my time. If nothing else I may send some rods to the show so people can take a look at them. Just need a guide booth to hold a few for me to show off. As for retailers, none yet but I just started these 5 days ago. My website is up and running for them and my S/H for USA customers is only $5 (any length) and for Canada for a flat $20 (only the 8' rods though). Still working on a good way to ship the 9' rods to Canada due to the length. Just goes outside the USPS limits. I may shorten the rod by 1.5" so it just falls into the shipping regs for the USPS. Here is a picture I just got from one of the guys who tests my rods/lures for me. I am sure the fish is nicer too look at but my rod is behind him.
