Drop? Not a chance. There going back up. River is at 77-80 deg. And the lower bay is 73-76 deg.

Posts: 32 Location: Manawa Wiscowsin | Has anyone been out recently? How about a lower bay water temp report? Last year was the first year I fished Green Bay in the fall. I had a blast. Ten strikes, five hookups, and four muskies CPR'd. I am an eye fisherman most of the time, and I'm sure you muskie nuts would have done better, but for me it was a great day. Posts: 1 | I am heading up there next wednesday to troll the river. I typically troll big lures but is there a certain color I should use or even which lures are sucessful? How fast and how deep?

Posts: 1185 Location: Wishin I Was Fishin' | I've got 4 full days on GB without even a rip...did catch a 32" pike Sunday...let down in the tourney. In the past years I have at least been able to put one in the boat on a tough day in October. We had 45' temp out in the bay Sunday morning. Very very tough bite this year. Posts: 723 | I have 6 days in, I think I saw a rip, and caught 1 40" fish. on average lets say, 11 hours of fishing in the day, X 6 , take that, divided into 40, gives me a .6 inches per hour of fish in the net.... dont think ive ever seen it this bad, even in 05' when the huge shad explosion hit us. I think im on a better tree-stand bite right now anyway, the deer are moving, atleast this is one year I dont have to worry bout buddies calln me while im hunting to tell me that im missin out. RIGHT JOE? HEHE

Posts: 723 | yeah I cant say ive seen the good old days in a long time. since 2006 anyway, before the crowds came, there werent many days at all that the skunk showed its ugly head. now it seems its kind of common? there were some reports of a hot bite earlier, but, with that, comes pressure. who knows how that affects those fish. cant be great IMO. hey, now its just like normal musky fishing spotties are a weird breed in my book. trying to pattern them is like making friends with a person who has alzheimers. (not easy to do)

Posts: 359 Location: Wauwatosa, Wisconsin | Heading up to Green Bay Sunday morning. Not my usual style of fishing or location, but want to give it a try. Sure would appreciate any kind of words of wisdom. Should we be trolling the river? Or out in the bay? Has it been raining there as much as it has down here in the Milwaukee area, and what does that do to the river? Any particular baits or colors that are a "must"? If you have some insights but don't necessarily want to put them out here my email is [email protected] thanx

Posts: 880 Location: New Berlin,Wisconsin,53151 | I would try both work your way out into the Bay, there's a deep shipping channel that's dredged 25ft deep with flats on both sides. Short line troll anything white, big Jakes, Grandma's, Raiders, big rubber baits. If nothing turn around and head up river at least to the 1st bridge. Bruce Edited by Netman 11/3/2009 6:02 AM

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | The fishing on Sunday was not as good as the full 3 hour performance put on at the Resch center by the Trans Siberian Orchestra. My mother and wife were not metal fans, but really loved the show and find themselves listenning to more 'tage and TSO now. Anyone who was a Savatage fan in the 80's/early 90's, or just likes their anthemic/progressive metal with some strings, choir and a Christmas story tossed in for good measure, probably already knows about them. Just glad Green Bay got them in to perform. Can't wait for the spring tour!!!! Hopefully it is after openner Edited by Reef Hawg 11/10/2009 11:00 AM
