Subject: pikie lure

So a friend of mine who is just getting into the Muskie game showed me a lure he just got from his dad. It is a wire through straight pikie in the box never used. All of the papers are in the box to order baits . The most expensive being a jointed pikie @ 4.60 . The box has a # on it "3400 W" There is also a small paper add for Salt Water Sportsman magazine. 12 issues for only 7.50. Does anyone have an idea of the age of this bait ? Thanks !

If it is a creekchub bait, the # 3400 is a snook pikie whick is roughly 5" long. Does it have glass eyes or tack eyes? The glass eyes for Creekchub stopped around 1961.
