Well right now it seems like the bigger fish, for me atleast, are hanging off the breaks durring the day and moving shallow to feed a bit at night so if I was a sucker fisherman who wanted to catch a nice fish I would roll meat off the breaks. I have always found that where ever there are muskies they like eating suckers so I am confident that suckers will work just fine.

A ten inch Kicken Minnow or a Bulldawg would probably work just as well as live bait and would allow you to cover much more water.

Tonka has been hit and miss in my boat lately. The fish seem to be scattered and hard to find at times. Some are deep, some are on the edge, and some are shallow. It seems the best thing is to cover water and mix up the presentations and depth range until you get something going.

Good luck.

That 49 looks like it could roll two or three of those 50/50 pluses into a ball and choke on them.

Yes.
It was the strongest fish I have ever felt.
It put up quite a fight. Thankfully it was released successfully.
