Hey Everyone,

Some of the best musky fishermen in the country converged into Madison, WI as the top 47 teams from throughout the year are competing in the most esteemed musky tournament in the world today, the PMTT – Ranger Boats World Championship. The Day 1 totals for the Madison Chain were OUTSTANDING!!! The anglers boated 16 fish with 3 doubles and a couple of very heavy mid 40’ fish. Snow, wind and freezing temperature combined to make tough fishing conditions for the anglers, but no one left the water early as they realize the status of being crowded the PMTT World Champions and winning a brand new 2010 Ranger 619 Fishermen, Rangertrail Trailer and Mercury powered Opti Max for first place and a total payout of over $50,000 in cash and prizes.

The team of Gary Lehnherr and his 7 year old son Carson are leading after the first day. Carson actually reeled in both fish as his dad put the net under them. All the totals and detail will follow tomorrow after the conclusion of the event!

I'll bet before the years end. Some folks have to draw their vacation days before the start of the new year.

Love to fish it next year if I won the lottery or came into a windfall. A bugger. now I have the time and boat and the economy took a dive. I know many of us are in same boat. It has cut the fields in many of the tournaments. Have to see the Mac schedule also if they plan on doing it another year.
