Posts: 280 Location: McFarland | I did well in Madison with a 39" on a sucker Friday night and a 45" on a cowgirl Saturday night on the 8. Things seem to be heating up again after a long three week slow stretch. How about everyone else? Posts: 32955 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Didn't get out, too much work to do. Good work, though, we got our garden in and did a bunch around the place getting ready for the coming winter. Oh well, I'll get fishing when I get back from the FLW Walleye Tour Championship in North Dakota. One bad incident, it was WINDY here, and Darth's Outhouse took a direct hit. Keith had just moved his truck moments before...we were lucky no one was back there. Took quite a while to extract a 50' tree from the boiler, was touchy getting it off there without damaging the boiler housing and water jacket worse than it already was. Missed our hunting trailer by a couple feet. Posts: 1308 Location: WI | I only fished 7 hours but had a high 40's fish follow a DCG and go around half an 8 before leaving. My friends got a short one, a 43", and lost another low 40's. This last week has been great for us with 8 in the boat up to 45".

Posts: 444 Location: Duluth, MN | Saw a tank swim next to the boat while we drifted over a sandbar and then we caught a 41" on a rockpile. Haven't seen a fish around weeds in 3 weeks. Weeds are all in bad shape...most are brown and lifeless.

Posts: 157 | Got out on Saturday morning on Sand lake in Rusk county with water temps around 69 degrees. Thought it was going to be a productive morning, but nothing materialized. Fished till about 11:30. Then went to the Bloomer Rod and Gun and watched Tom Knapp from Benelli's American Birdhunter TV show. Simply put an amazing show. That man can flat out shoot the lights out. Very professional and very well choreographed show. If you get the opportunity I'd highly recommend it. Then grabbed the boat and headed to Island Lake for the evening. Didn't have a follow all afternoon but hooked a low 40's at boatside on a perch double D. Never got the good solid wood to her and she shook off. Such is life.

Posts: 1169 Location: New Hope MN | I drove 3 hrs to take my dad out, bcause he wanted to go fishin'. Couldn't convince him to chase ski's (soar back). The ol' fart just wanted to jig for crappies Boated 7 in 1.5 hrs and then he wanted to quit that too. *sigh* long drive for 1.5 hrs of fishing. Still worth it to spend time with him.

Posts: 103 | Fished a smallmouth bass tournament Saturday. Out of twenty or so boats we got 4th place and won rain coats. We were two ounces shy of 3rd place and $200. Me and a friend fished Sunday for about six hours. I had a low 40 incher hit and miss a bucktail right at the boat and my friend raised three mid 30 inch fish. All fish came in on single bladed bucktails. Could not raise a thing on double bladed bucktails.

Posts: 219 Location: Ohio | Fished Sunday morning for a few hours. Cloudy, rain, and cooler temps. We raised 3. Two of them followed a Llungen DC10 and I had a 45"+ follow a dominatrix double 10 around 6 times and took off. That big fish followed right after a peeed off bass fisherman flew by us 15ft from the boat. Guess he didn't like us fishing the same bay even though we kept our distance and crossed to the other side of the bay for him.

Posts: 283 | Thanks a lot Jason, The tidal wave is my number one topwater bait this year. It doesn't matter if it is flat calm or 3 foot waves this bait flat out produces.

Posts: 1061 Location: Medford, WI | Great fish BrewCrew...congrats on your PB...hopefully there's plenty more to come. I fished the WMT Championship on Mani this weekend. We had one right to the boat and turn on the 8 but swam off; couldn't raise her again. Spent most of our time fishing deep breaks and main basin/open water. Seemed like it was mostly a shallow bite, but we were getting away from the crowds and hoping to find the big one. -Jake

Posts: 469 Location: Downers Grove, IL | Eagle Lake gave up one of her beautiful 50 inchers this Sunday. She ate my spanky bait after a couple rounds in the 8. It was a great fight and successful release. She measured a perfect 50 on the bumpboard. thedude Attachments ---------------- 2nd 50.JPG (85KB - 209 downloads)

Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | Took one of my cousins goose hunting on an area flowage. Talk about low water! Only saw one flock of 4 but they all came right in. Also watched a wolf for about 20 minutes which was pretty cool. Our duck weather finally arrived on Sunday night!?!? One more muskie film shoot then Montana bound.
