Today my Minn Kota Maxxum broke. Not exactly sure but one of the cables either snapped or came loose. The foot pedal will not turn the motor left. I took apart the pedal and the cables are in good shape but one is loose. Has anyone had a cable break? Is it an easy fix or do I need to bring it into the service center?

take the top cover off and see whether the cable broke or look for other visible damage.if you have never replaced a cable before it can be a headache as there are steps that must be done correctly or it will never be right.i'd just take it to a repair center and pay to have it repaired.the cable is around $15 and should only take around 20 minutes to fix.
