| Hey guys The boat I am using right now has about a 24in live well is there anyway I could put in a muskie sized livewell in the back of the boat where a smaller casting deck is. I really just need to know if there is a kit out there for this kind of thing and any other info or tips you guys might have to help me get this done.
Thanks much
Cody

Location: Kodiak, AK | Guys do it here on LSC all the time. Mostly trollers in boats with high gunwhales you can't hang over and revive the fish. They're using them to revive the fish, or to transport the fish to the scales. Some guys make their own from a wooden box they make with screws and wood glue and lined with fiberglass. They plumb it with a simple aerator pump to circulate the water. Some use the washdown plumbing already installed on their boats.
There's also a gentleman who makes "FISH ThANKS" I want to say they run about $300. He doesn't have a website or anything that I know of, so maybe one of the LSC trollers can chime in and give the info. |

Location: Oregon, WI | I have a 48" portable livewell I bought from Cabelas some years back (~$85). I use it when I fish transport tournaments. To fill it, I put a "T" into the hose from my original livewell and connected a hose. To empty it and aerate it, I use a submersable pump (~$35). If you don't want to mess around with putting a hose into your existing system, the submersable pump could be used to fill it as well. Just hang the pump over the side and put the hose from the pump into the livewell. Don't think it would be a good idea to try and lift the portable livewell when it has much water in it due to the risk of breaking the livewell.
Also, you might be able to make it permanent by replacing your original livewell with the portable one depending on the boat layout. |

Location: Seymour, WI | Why do you want that big of a livewell in your boat?
I have a 50" livewell in my boat and I think it's a huge waste of space.
I would much rather have dry storage than the live well. |

| I just want to fish tournaments that require them. Also if its windy it would be better for the fish I think to let it rehab in the live well instead of being dragged around in a net. |
