Just curious if anyone has tried this reel? Did it take the place of the Induron?

The Akena has a diecast rigid aluminum frame and sideplates versus the machined aluminum of the Induron IDX. The guts are pretty much the same.

Hopefully next year Okuma will be ready to introduce an upscaled version.

So would you say it would be worth the money? Or are there better options for the same price range?

At a retail of $100, the reel should be an excellent product at a great price. The best customer service in the business, too.

To bad there's no left handed reels in the Isis and this new reel. I see the Chromer has a lefty option but I'll have to wait and get some feedback from Mark about them.
