a few days ago i asked about a new reel. Ended up with an AC300. Now i want another rod. i am hoping to go longer and have an interest in the Okuma after hearing so many good things. The Evx to be specific.

Does anyone know where i can find this rod in Wisconsin? the dealer locater says gander mountain, but i called 2 of them and they don't carry okuma. any ideas? i am hoping somewhere in SE Wisc but will travel up north to get one.

The website says "telescopic" on the 8'6".. can someone tell me what part telescopic and what it folds down too?

My 8'6" slides down to 7'6". In WIS yoiu can find them at Smokey's and Rollie & Helens. I also saw one at Dorn's on Midvale last week when I was in there. It was a 9'3" heavy. I thought about picking up for myself, but didn't. If its still there, I just might.

The 9'3" at midvale is gone. They don't last very long, great rod at an outstanding price!! BTW, the 8'6" slides down to 7 ft.

does the telescopic feature cause any issues? Just seems odd for a musky rod. never have seen that before. Is it the handle or the rod itself that folds down?

Its like what you see on a flippin stick. Pull it out and the diameters are met and binded into place. No issues with the rods and its as strong as any 1 piece I've owned
