Posts: 99 Location: Hartford, Iowa | Heading to Tonka this weeked and was wondering if there are any good campgrounds close to boat access. Not sure what part of the lake we are fishing yet either. Looking for tent site with electrical and room to park the 17.5 Tracker Targa and a Jeep......................... Any help would be appreciated...

| I seriously don't think there are any campgrounds on Tonka. a lot on Tonka goes are 1/2 a million so sites might get a little expensive. If I'm wrong somebody else will chime in. | |||

| three rivers is about 15 minutes away. You can camp right by Lake Independence and fish for skis there as well. Tonka is a short drive away. | |||

Location: MN | If there were campsites on Tonka, most likely could be purschased for a 100 grand each or around $500/day.... to say the least, real estate values are high. Heard of a "guest house - help house" on the lake being listed around $250k. One option you may want to consider is the Country Inn & Suites right on the corner of Carlson Parkway and I-494. Gray's Bay landing is 5-10 minutes from the hotel. Edited by Mak51 8/4/2009 12:07 PM

Posts: 3163 | Tent Camping on Lake Minnetonka Dont mean to laugh at ya guy but that would be like camping in Central park in NY or on the strip in Vegas some of the richest people in the state live on tonka,,,there are cheap motel rooms on hwy 494 both north and south and like what was mentioned there is tent camping at the three rivers park district and lake Independence whitch is heavily stocked with muskles and its just west of tonka,,,I would call three rivers park district first thougfh and make a reservation,, I think they make you buy a parks permit/sticker too so it may not be that much cheaper then a motel room where you will have AC at night Edited by happy hooker 8/4/2009 1:37 PM

| All the negativity- If there is camping it is on the West side. There is a regional park on 44 just off hwy 7. i suspect there are some campsites there. | |||
