I bought one two weeks ago and used it for a couple days casting heavier glide baits and topwaters. Love it! They have a fairly stiff mid section and enough flex in the tip to load up and cast baits almost effortlessly. The new "cork" is a bit wierd but very tacky, especially when wet.

Anyone try the Fenwick Elite Tech 8'6" extra heavy? I'm looking for a rod to use on Magnum Bull Dawgs & Medussa's. Been using a Compre 8' XH - don't like the way it loads up & releases for these sized baits, too soft, too much work IMO.

Thanks!
