Posts: 106 Location: On Lake St Clair Michigan | This year there has been a lot more people talking about casting. You can fish the rivers, the large weed flats or the deep shipping channels. Oh then you can also just run over to the Canadian side and that opens up a whole another feature of the lake. | ||

Posts: 295 Location: Southern Ontario, Detroit River and Lake StClair | For the most part all I do anymore is cast on the Detroit River and Lake StClair. 20+yrs of trolling pretty much wore me out so casting has been the thing for me for the past few. It's different than casting most other bodies of water but it can be done and done quite successfully at that. Sunday morning we put 3 fish in the boat int he 40"-43" range, lost another beside the boat on a jump that was slightly larger and had 4 other follows. Not bad for a morning on a "trolling" lake and in new water to boot. When are you coming down? Shoot me a PM if you have an questions. I fish the Canadian side of the Lake and both sides of the Detroit River from end to end, hers a couple more recent fish from the DR and LSC that were taken casting.............George, I heard that fish was a REAL fattie any pics?
