I'm having problems with my lights on my boat trailer, they are only 2 months old. All the lights work fine and my turn signals work too, until i put the vehicle into drive and then they stop working except for the brake lights and turn signals, basically the running lights go out. I've messed with fuses in my truck and rewired my ground wire and still can't find the problem. I'm assuming its a problem inside my truck, possibly a short or something. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also if it helps any, i have an 03 Ford Ranger edge that i'm using the trailer with. Thanks

What lights are new on the trailer? Just the 2 rear lights? Are they sealed waterproof lights? Sometimes if a bulb is put in incorrectly and is touching the terminals in the fixture wrong, this will happen too. If the bulbs are replaceable, make sure you have 5317's not 5316's. The 17's are a double fillament bulb, whereas the 16's will be a single fillament. Also, maybe try plugging the trailer into a newer vehicle to see if the same problem arises.
