Ok i know alot of guys here have been using the archos cameras. (i have the 504) having some trouble getting power on the unit and befor ei call in to archos i thought i would see if anyone has had issues.

I have 3 differnt batteries none of them will let the unit power on or show the power light when hooked up for charging either thru the usb port on the computor or through the wall outlet charger. has anyone had any reliability issues with the usb/ charging cords being bad?

I have a 504 and have not had anything happen like that. Internal battery or the external AA power pack. Both run fine and it powers on fine too.

Take ff the battery pack and look for a little gold colored dot under the pack. Take a ball point pen or like object and push and hold that dot; it's the reset button and should correct the problem.
