Location: MN | I am a blades, topwater and rubber guru... like most guys. Always neglected the corner of a box with the jerkbaits. Recently got to see the Phantoms in action.. soft tail and regular.... WOW. Might have found a new member of the A team. These baits look sweet in the water.... nice belly roll, they rock back and forth on the pause and have a good controllable glide. I think I have neglected the glider category for too long. Anyone like their Phantoms ??

| ya there nice but i recently tried the largest Rapala Gliding Rap and it is awesome, it might be a little small, but it has great shimmer and the color patterns are great. |

Location: Watertown, MN | Dan, I will guess you were out with a guide when you seen them in action, awsome bait, when it come to glider it is either Phantom or the old HR, most reliable baits out there that work right out of the package, and the softtail is fish catching machine.

| This year the 6'' Squirrrely Phantom has been my best producer, this is for sure one of the easiest gliders to work, and they flat out produce, and every one I have purchased has been consistent. this is a must have for any musky fisherman. |

| I was fishing with a buddy and all he was fishing with was the phantom, so when I got home i checked the website's and saw they are made from high-impact plastic, but his were wood (i'm pretty sure). Where they once wood did they recently change? does anyone know the difference? I'd love to get one, but I'm not sure now becasue of this difference... can anyone help me out |

| yes phantoms went to plastic as of last spring I believe?
the wood ones worked great, but,, had issues with crackin once they absorbed
water after gettin bit a lot 
so, I think they went to plastic due to that issue, and maybe more consistency.
havnt used the new plastic ones yet, im sure they catch fish just like their brothers. |

| okay, so the fisherman who have used both (wood and plastic), are there any differences? same size, action, weight, everything else? woudl i even be able to tell the difference |

| Can you tell the difference? Maybe if they are laying next to each other.
I've caught and netted many fish that have eaten the plastic ones. Both sizes and many colors. Get a couple softail ones, probaby one of both sizes,
Firetiger and crappie have been my favorites

Location: Toronto, Ontario | An 8-year-old 7.5" orange-bellied perch has been hot for me this year after sitting on the bench for a few years....I forgot how good phantoms are. I don't have too much concern about going to plastic as the Hellhound is an outstanding glider with a similar action and it's plastic. |

| I bought one last year and didn't know how to work it so I put it up for sale, at some swap meet jredig kept tellin me they r great lure and I should keep it, so I did keep it.. At muskie expo I talked to bob meisherehsmkasj*spelling??* he told me how he work them. So this year I decide to give it other try and....wow one of easy glider to work. Caught a few nice pike, 26" walleye, fat basses and lost a nice mid 40s at boatside on it. So bought another one in bright color now I m hooked for life! Great glide, belly roll, wobbling.
Also I m wonder what's kind of grubs they put on softtail phantoms? Just want to buy a couple in case they got tored off. |

| Not sure they make the Deep Phantom any more. I've got one in perch pattern and it got me my lone 50". Runs just a bit deeper than the regular model. |
