If you're in an adult drinking establishment after fishing all day, what songs do you sing for Karaoke?

My God, you are a rocker, aren't you? I would imagine this performance is complete with high powered air guitar?

I've been working on my own special party mix version of the Lady GaGa hit, "Poker Face". Sort of an old man sexy fat dance version targeting the teen market. When I reveal it to the public, I suspect I will become the fattest, oldest, teen idol in the history of popular music.

Or I'll be institutionalized.

Hopefull in a latex outfit?

A fun place to go if your fishing indiana is the barbee motel. The two guys who normally run the kereoke are hilarious, many of the people singing are actually good. People having a great time there, some good viewing and they are the only place that serves food untill 11pm and has the best pizza in the area.

"Little Jimmy" by Peter Mayer

Little Jimmy is a smallmouth bass
Little Jimmy got to watch his ass
Fisherman be all around
Trying to pull Jimmy out
But though the danger lurks
To Jimmy, caution is a dirty word

‘Cuz when it comes to getting off the hook
Little Jimmy, he wrote the book
With a form that’s well rehearsed
He’s the Houdini of the underwater world
Some fish have been let go
But Jimmy’s never been inside a boat

CHORUS: Little Jimmy say
Fisherman got a hook in me
I ain’t betting on him setting me free
I’m gonna eat that minnow down
Then I’ll lose that fishing clown
I got a beard of fishing line
One more strand will suit me fine
That’s Little Jimmy’s bottom line

Little Jimmy, he’s known all around
By the fish in water town
Some say he’s a swimming fool
They say he don’t know a piece of bait from food
But when they bet to win
All the bets are placed on Jim

The other day around suppertime
I saw a fisherman cast a line
Bang went that bobber down
And I just new those bets were out
And down there in the lake
Jimmy was swimming in a mighty strange way

Little Jimmy, a.k.a.
The one that got away

I do not do that karechoke thing. And for excellent reason, too. I also do not wear latex, I'm not sure why not.

Well, a friend of mine named Steve Goodman wrote that song
and he told me it was the perfect country and western song.
I wrote him back a letter and told him it was NOT the perfect
country and western song because he hadn't said anything about
Momma, or trains, or trucks, or prison, or gettin' drunk.

Well, he sat down and wrote another verse to the song and he sent
it to me and after reading it, I realized that my friend had written
the perfect country and western song. And I felt obliged to include it
on this album.

The last verse goes like this here:

Well, I was drunk the day my Mom got outta prison.
And I went to pick her up in the rain.
But, before I could get to the station in my pickup truck
She got runned over by a #*^@ed old train.

CHORUS
So I'll hang around as long as you will let me
And I never minded standin' in the rain. No,
You don't have to call me darlin', darlin'
You never even call me, I wonder why you don't call me
Why don't you ever call me by my name.

Hmmmmmm, I'm going to take a wild guess and say there is an excellent reason.

Musky karaoke has to have the instrumental version of "Fencepost" and if you don't know what I am talking about, you just don't know your musky fishin buddy!
