Location: Birch Run | I have an older 7000 that has been working great for awhile but last nite my line bulked up on one side of the spool. I wasn't paying attention and the next cast wasn't pretty. The line guide would work reeling up the slack line, but not when working a bait. I fooled with it today and it seems to be working fine now, any suggestions on how to fix it, or what could be wrong. |

Location: Eagan, MN | You just need to replace the gear... I think it's called a pawl gear. Probably want to replace that part the slides thru the groove on the gear too. Sorry... don't know all the lingo... just know how to fix it lol. |

| Call Abu and get a worm gear and pawl for your reel. It will take even a novice about 5 minutes to put it in. |
