I have an older 7000 that has been working great for awhile but last nite my line bulked up on one side of the spool. I wasn't paying attention and the next cast wasn't pretty. The line guide would work reeling up the slack line, but not when working a bait. I fooled with it today and it seems to be working fine now, any suggestions on how to fix it, or what could be wrong.

You just need to replace the gear... I think it's called a pawl gear. Probably want to replace that part the slides thru the groove on the gear too. Sorry... don't know all the lingo... just know how to fix it lol.

Call Abu and get a worm gear and pawl for your reel. It will take even a novice about 5 minutes to put it in.
