Location: So. Illinois | I have a couple of suicks where the line-tie screw eye on the front is way off center, making it near imposible to tune. I want to move the screw eye to a better position but am worried about future failure. Looking for recomendations.
Is the original screw eye glued in where I will cause too much damage if I try to remove it?
Once removed, do I fill the hole with anything specific before I try to reinstall the screw eye?
When I reinstall the screw eye, shoud I use super glue or an epoxy. Also any suggestions on a new screw eye location to enhance action would be appreciated (move higher or move lower?).

Location: Land of the Musky | If you do attempt to fix it use the 2 ton epoxy. Or just call Steve Suick. He is a great guy and will bend over backwards for his customers! |

Location: So. Illinois | I should have been more clear. It is really only 1 bait that I am having trouble with and I have had it for some time -- don't feel it would be fair to call Suick and complain about a bait I have had for a couple of years. I was curious about modifying other baits as well and kind of lumped everything together. |

Location: Seymour, WI | You will not break anything if you turn the screw eye out. Just turn it out and then put it back in where you want it and seal it up with epoxy. If you move the eye up, it will give the bait more side to side action.
