Anyone running a 23 or 24' bay boat? Would you buy another?

I'm running a 20'. I've thought about how it'd be to fish a larger boat, and I think 22' is about as big as I'd want to go, if we're talking about muskie. I know Dahlberg has that 24' Skeeter, but man, that's alot of boat in the wind, and that 350 he has on there sure does eat into the draft. I like that I can get my boat into 18" of water.

But yes, I'd buy another. Stand up center consoles are great for big water. If you're fishing smaller water, then it's like driving a one ton truck to get groceries. In that case, I'd buy a flats boat.

I just sold mine before I moved here from fl, I had a pathfinder 2200 w/200 etec-powerpole-terrova-jackplate-trim tabs....
loved it wish I wouldnt have sold it, now im addicted to the esox and wish everynigh I would have kept it instead of buying a minivan -lol they're great, it could float in 16" needed 3' to take off and get on plane. I used it for flats fishing and in inlets. on calm days (3-6') id run it offshore, great fuel economy, tons of room, I had a t-top on mine. id think with a kicker it would be awsome for trolling. it could run mille lacs, or lotw, any of the great lakes- but if its blowin 30+ you'd be stupid to be out in anyboat. it would do 53 ish, with a full load and with the jack plate up and trim tabs down, if it was on plane I could run in say 1'- never did but if I had to and it was calm. if you want a bay boat check out the florida sportsman mag online and there is a boat classifieds. best-

I fish out of a Bay Cat, made by Bass Cat. She is a 21'6" boat with a 93" beam. Draft is 15". Wonderful boat, as it is versatile for small to big water. I can easily have 3-4 casters without a problem. When not used for fishing, I can pile all sorts of people on her.I have never thought that I needed any more length.

Cat makes a hell of a boat. One of the top Bass boats on the market for sure.

If I wasn't in a Ranger Bay, I'd be in a Bay Cat.
