The fuse in the motor blew. It was an integrated fuse that was in the wiring ,right by the battery. Put on by Cabela's. I had to cut it off and attach the wire to the battery w/ no fuse. Now what? That fix finished the day, but what do I need to do for the future? Some kind of circuit breaker? The way it was wired , it had no way to be replaced. If I put another one on like that, and it blows again I'm afraid the wire will become too short to reach the battery. Any suggestions? It's only a 12v,46lb Motorguide. Thanks in advance!

I would put at least a 50amp circuit breaker in with no fuse.

I would definetely use an automatic circuit breaker, but first off you may want to figure out why your fuse blew in the 1st place -more than likely either the wiring used to connect the trolling motor to the battery may have corrosion at the connection, or you may have a bad ground at the battery- that will generate a lot of heat- and could cause the wiring to melt or even start a fire if you hook up straight to the battery without a fuse/circuit breaker
