I was going through all the rapala's that I have. I thought I would try to duplicate the classic look of the black and silver foil baits. I happened to have some silver foil wrapping paper that matched the rapala baits pretty good with the small scale pattern on it. The rest of it is painted with rattle cans.

Those are awesome. Those real basic, natural paint jobs are some of the best for me, you can't beat blk/silver. Three pretty deadly jerkbaits just got even better with your new paint job, really nicely done. I could throw any of those 3 all season no problem.

No doubt those will get eaten! As JBush mentioned a very simple pattern that is very effective. I think the foil touch you added to the bait adds a bit of Pop!

Hey a trick for the eyes. Dip something with a round end like a pen cap into the paint. Then press it where you want the eye. Next get a smaller round object for the black area.

Thanks guys! Had a hard time doing the eyes. Used a rubber grub to do them and never again. Here's a perkette with some new skin. Next one on the list for a rapala makeover will be a 10'' weagle.

Looks good, do the weagle on its side then it looks like a dying fish. I think it would look pretty good that way.

"I can also hold up one of my lures, above a fish fish that was caught and make everybody beleive it was caught on one of mine!!!!!!!!!!"

Or you could catch a fish on one of your own and understand the satisfaction. Most people here can appreciate.

Wow, accusations with nothing to back it up, not even the stones to use a real name. Your lack of trust without any reason is just a reflection on yourself. "It's not the only color out there!!!" Really genius, did you figure that out all on your own. Your right it's not, but it's a darn good one that has produced for years and will continue to do so. The guys that have posted pics have done a really good job of modifying and creating some great baits that have and will produce big time. And as BruceKY stated, There is nothing more satisfying than catching a fish on your own creation. Nice job Bruce! I am fortunate enough to have got my PB on my own bait. I tend to worry less about bait color and more about color contrast and this color pattern has it.

I love the idea of painting the pattern off center to look like a struggling fish. I've got a couple gliders that I've thought about repainting upside down (just need to learn how to paint )
