Posts: 1769 Location: Algonquin, ILL | My wife took my 3.5 year old Grandson to a small park pond by the house today to feed the fish, Usually there are 100s & 100s of fish mostly gills around when you throw stale bread into the water but not today, My grandson said " The Muskies were sleeping ". Two older gentlemen overheard this comment and started laughing and asked my grandson how he knows about muskies, My grandson told them "my Opa ( Thats me ) catches muskies all the time and when he does'nt it's because the muskies are sleeping" What have your little one's Said ? Posts: 29 | My Nephew once when we were traveling to Canada rode with me and his Dad (my brother -in-law) was in the truck ahead with my sister. We had two-way radios on to touch base on the ride. My Nephew said "Dad I am going to fish with Uncle Bil cause he catches more fish! " LOL I was cracking up if only i could have seen the look on my Brother-in-Laws face! ha! God I love that kid!

Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | Was fixing a freezer at the resort last summer, one of the old ones that has the freezer inside the fridge, with a seperate door. My 6 yr old nephew is out there for the weekend, and I'm ticked because I can't figure out how to get the plastic freezer door to stay closed on this appliance that was most likely brought over on the Mayflower. Anyway, my nephew is full of questions and energy, running around me "what's wrong - why won't the door stay closed - did you want to go get my dad's saw - just tape it shut..." etc. After about five minutes of this I turn around and shout at him pretty good, tell him to get out of my face or else. Well, he starts crying and takes off. I go find him about 20 minutes later and appologize, he says "It's ok, I know you're just cranky 'cause you want to be out muskie fishing." Good stuff, I plan on getting him his first legal this summer. JS

I got my nephew (brother's son....5 yrs old) one of those stuffed muskies from Gander Mountain. My brother says he sleeps with it every night. Well, he took it into Kindergarden for "show & tell" and told his classmates that it was once a real fish....that he caught it.....and when he caught it it was actually alot bigger. He lies just like his dad....lol
