I will be traveling to Milwaukee for meetings next week and will be staying in the Sullivan area (1/2 way between Mad/Milw).

I would love to hook up with someone and fish either Pewaukee or Madison chain later in the afternoon or evening of Wed. August 1st.

I'll gladly kick in for gas and will be more than happy to buy the first "dust cutter" after fishing.

Jason/Steve, if your not booked that evening or working on the board maybe we could hook up.

Would love to, but I will be in Northern Minnesota Wednesday, trying to get some work done before Jason and I hit the Goon Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Rain Check??

"BACK TO THE GOON...." [:p]

You guys need anyone to sit in the boat on the way up just to make sure nothing falls out......[]
Have a great trip........."again"

I may call Scott at MuskyU and see if he is available that night. Don't know him but sounds like a heck of nice guy and good fisherman.

Mark,

Are you looking for a guide, or just someone who fishes the lake? The latter would be me, hehehe. I haven't fished Pewaukee in several weeks, but have been looking for an excuse to get out. If you're interested, let me know. I can be at Smokies by 5:00, and fish til ?

Pewaukee's been a tough bite for me this year so far, only 2 in the boat. But I've seen some nice fish. Maybe Jason can give us a push in the right direction with what's been working for him lately?

My recomendation, put your motor in gear, raise the speed to 2.7 and drag the 18+ depths. Dont be afraid to drag 35 feet suspended either. Believe it or not Slammer Deep Divers be the hotest ticket this summer with Bagleys and Ernies a close second.

I will be out of town, going to Wabagoon with that old crazy fool Worrall. Lord help me.[;)]

Shep,

I am looking for anyone who is as goofy as I am about chasing "Toothy Critters". Guide, Musky Nut, Blonde/Brunette with a boat that floats [].

I am a guide (part-time) in the areas between Eau Claire and lower Hayward lakes region. I work as the Safety Director for a construction company and have meetings on Thursday morning in Milw. I actually grew up in the Milw. area and used to skip school with my buddies in the spring to fish "white bass" on Pewaukee (I think it was pewaukee, maybe nagawicka anyway..).

Just thought I could find a good reason to pack a rod or two and some tackle along with my toothbrush and teddy-bear......[:)]

I'll see how the schedule plays out and will e-mail you by the end of the week and let you know.

I appreciate the offer, Thank You...

Mark,

I love chasing muskies. But the past several weeks, I have gotten a little distracted by the walleye bite on Winnebago. Ok, maybe alot distracted. Anyway, you definately should bring a rod or two , and a couple of your favorite lures down with you. If you want to get started a little earlier, I can do that. When you get things arranged, drop me a mail, and I'll get you my phone numbers. Always fun to fish with a new partner. I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks for the info, Jason. How far back are you running the Slammers to get to your desierd depth. I couldn't find them in my Precision Trolling Guide, LOL. Thanks again. Good luck next week.

Tight Lines,

Shep

Shep I vary of course, but mostly 45 to 55ft back. Its been good pattern as of late.

I will be out tonight and friday on Pewaukee, Sat and Sun I will be on Lake Michigan filling my freezer with fish I can eat. There is a good run a 8 to 12lb steelhead right now and those are great eaters.

Jason,

Thanks for the info. How'd you do on Pewaukee and then the Big Pond?

Mark, Hope to hear from you today. After getting skunked on the eyes this weekend, I'm ready to go after some muskies again.

Then, on Thursday, it's off to Hayward for a couple days, one with Dave Dorazio. Can't wait.[:p]

I've finally got time to post this.

I met Mark at Smokies around 6:00 PM. I felt pretty good with the weather moving in. It just came a little faster than I had hoped. We decided to forgo the trolling, and cast a few spots. Saw 2 fish, and then the lightning in the distance forced us off. We got a little wet, but dried off while wetting the gullet.

Mark, it was a pleasure meeting and fishing with you, if only for a short while. You're welcome in my boat anytime.

Regards,

Shep[:)]
