I have a problem with my drag system in my 6500 C3. I got it last April and just kept stored away until muskie season and I stored it with a loose drag so that when I actually used it the gears wouldn't be worn out. So I got out on the river yesterday and I tried to tighten my drag to get a good hookset if a fish hit but I couldn't tightened it barely anymore than how I stored it. So when ever I jerked my crank a little bit just line would pull out. Do you know what is wrong with it or what I can do to fix it?

Are u sure that your line is not slipping on the spool?

If the line's solid on the spool, I would be the drag washers are contaminated with grease. A strip down and de-grease should se you good to go again.
