Posts: 171 | I have had great luck catching muskies with Crane 205's, 206's, etc. I have not had good luck with their durability. The front bill breaks easily and the paint comes off too easy. Anyone find a plastic bait with the same tight wobble? I looked at baby shallow raiders, but a friend of mine has one and says they don't wobble like a Crane. Also, any online shops have a good selection of Wades Wobblers in stock? Thanks.

Posts: 171 | Aaron, I need a orange and black dot and a yellow(chartreuse) and black dot, which you don't stock. Can you get them? Let me know. Also, Wade used to make a 6" model, not the 5-1/2" he makes now. I don't think he makes it anymore, or does he? The 6" was terriffic, the 5-1/2" does not work the same. I would need the above colors in 7" if he does not make 6". Edited by oly67 5/18/2009 4:39 PM

Balsa is super light and allows the bait to really shake (based off of the weight placement). Unfortunately it is also very soft and can't take a whole lot of abuse. I love my cranes and always keep a back up of my favorite.

Posts: 212 | You just have to be careful with your Cranes and inspect them after fishing them for a while. First thing you can't do is just leave them sitting in the sun, they will expand and crack. It's important to have some superglue with you, I prefer Zap-a-Gap to fill in my hook pointers and tooth holes. The last thing, like F&W mentioned is to have several of your favorite colors but stick with one that catches fish and repair it as long as you can. There is no replacement.

CRANES CATCH FISH WHEN NOTHING ELSE WILL .....I KEEP A LARGE SUPPLY OF FINGERNAIL POLISH AND REPAIR ALL CRACKS AND BREAKS BEFORE PUTTING THEM BACK IN THE WATER....ONCE THE WATER PENETRATES INTO THE WOOD THE BAITS GET SOFT.....CURRENTLY I OWN 75 CRANES WITH BACKUPS FOR ALL MY FAVORITES....SO FAR IN 09.....6 FISH OVER 40 ON CRANEBAITS......

Posts: 1243 Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | oly67, sorry I didn't see this until now. Shoot me an email and we can discuss this further. I don't have an answer right now. I'll have to get a hold of Wade. Thanks, Aaron

Posts: 1243 Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | Shaley, Just 7s and 9s. I just checked his info that he sent me and he doesn't show an 11". 6", 7", 9" and 10" is all it shows. If you've seen 11"ers, maybe that was a custom? Either way though, I can find out if he has any. Thanks, Aaron

Posts: 1184 Location: Iowa Great Lakes | I'll check tomarrow but sure my big ones are 11". I'm sure thats what Wade told me when I got them. Either 10 or 11 no matter they are a nice bait.
