I see they have three hooks like the 'sloshers' but the line attachment is under the chin, more like a Jackpot. Anyone have anything good bad or indifferent to say about this bait? I like the idea of a 3-hook bait that can be worked fast. One that's bouyant. Fair to say the Phat Daddy is a hybrid bait or are they more 'slosher' than Jackpot? In think Buster or Holcombe makes them, that's a good start, great lures. Thanks.

Musky Buster makes the Phat Daddy. Great popping and high riding walk the dog. splashes a lot of water and on hard tight snaps, you can get it to really pop out of the water. It is very light, so if you are looking for a bait with Weagle like action this is not the bait. I personally like my W-T-D baits to sit high on the surface. This is why it's my favorite.

I personally hate the sloshers too, there are lots of surface baits I'll throw ahead of those if I gotta move that slow. Daddy sounds a lot more up my ally, I like the wtd's I can move fast and tight, thanks big J. Who am I kidding, where I fish muskies and pike usually never even open their mouths for a wtd..just a big blow up, follow or some other show. I'm pretty sure they think it's a snake and are just tryin to spook it off. I missed three muskies over thirty pounds last Sept alone on them and at least as many big pike real early in the year. Not one struck the bait but made huge dive bombs on it or big follows. Toss in a jntd Beleiver, Topraider or creeper and the fish try to break it in ten pieces and you're cutting most of the hooks. No denying the wtds will show you fish when nothing else will. Two of those bigger muskies were past high noon with no wind or cloud. I've boated exactly zero muskies on wtd in my life but throw them every year, a great bird dog lure to show you fish for later/other baits. A high rider I can work fast fits that bill perfect. It could have ten trebles, most of the fish I see never even open their mouths lol.
