there was good sunshine today for showing off sparkly polyflake, so i was finally able to take some pics of the new boat.

Tuffy X-190 DS (19'4" x 90")
full polyflake: gunmetal cap and fenders, cherry fox side panels
200 Merc Opti
9.9 Merc ProKicker
Tandem Trailer with 4 wheel surge brakes

this boat is a muskie fishing dream, with no wasted space.
the interior design emphasizes casting deck area and tons of big dry storage (8'6" rod locker that actually fits 9'ers on top), while the hull is built to handle big water safely while still allowing easy access to it for deep figure-8s and unhooking fish in the net.

the factory re-worked the mold this year so that it's even smoother, and i'm playing around with propping options. i can't wait to see what this one will do, hopefully it'll top the 65mph mark set by last year's ride...

if you're in or near the Madison area, feel free to drop me a line if you want to take a look or get out for a ride: [email protected]

Very nice!!
Are you just using the tiller to run the kicker?

yes, i have a 60" extension handle for the kicker motor, and run that sitting/standing on the rear deck. i like being up like that when trolling so i can keep a better eye on all the rods and boards.

Nice ride buddy! I wonder how many brand-new, never used, enhanced quality (read expensive) headlamps will go in the drink because of that one...
I hope you own it long enough for me to get a ride in it!
And yeah, I bet it breaks 65. Have fun w/ it and keep it full of gas.

I want a ride...and I know when I'm going to get one.

And, what Sorno said...make sure you keep an eye on the gas gauge

Wow...what a nice looking boat!

I'm a Lund guy, and I *still* like the looks of that rig. Looks like Tuffy is really giving Ranger a run for their money, in terms of lay-out and overall fit & finish.

That is a sweet looking unit, Lambeau...

Here is a list of all Tuffy dealers.

http://www.tuffyboats.com/dealer.asp

I know Boulder Junction Marine, Quams, and Wild River are all Suzuki dealers in Wisconsin.

Oh, try to keep the tail gate away from "Our" new Shinny rig.

Have fun with it.

I'm curious, what's the advantage of upgrading every year and having to go through all the setup and rigging "hassles"? Seems like an awful lot of money to shell out each year...

Looks like a great rig though, should be fun!

Perks, Baby, Perks.
Mike will sell this rig next winter and order another next spring, and will not lose out on anything.

Sooo, Who wouldn't want a NEW boat each season ??? Or am I off base with this thinking, Mr. Lambeau??

65 MPH...... Extreamly impressive, And Thousands of bucks less than a Ranger, With Great customer Service.

Very nice ride, for sure !

that's a fair question.

i rig everything myself (aside from the motors), and after doing 5 boats i've learned enough tips and tricks that it's not too much of a hassle anymore. i can get the trolling motor, bow and console combos, gps pucks, and battery charger drilled, wired, and installed in a day if i set my mind to it. spending a couple nights in the garage after work listening to the Brewers game and drinking a brew isn't too bad at all...
it also helps things tremendously that Tuffy has an electronics breaker box installed under the console with 4 pre-rigged accessory lines, 2 of which are run up to the front under the bow point. just connect them to your unit's power and turn it on.

and yes, i have to shell out some cabbage every year for the new electronics. i enjoy getting the latest gear and trying different things out, so that's just a price that i've been willing to pay.

Maxed out the way this one is, low 40's. The motors alone are about $17.5K.

First of all your boat looks awesome. I was wondering about the last photo. I like the size of your rear casting deck but the Tuffy website does not show this type of layout. Was it an option? Thanks

yes, i have the "Esox" version of the boat - this comes with the rear deck extension option.

the rear deck extension is the gull-wing storage/deck that you see forward of the livewell.
it installs/removes quickly and easily by the use of four bolts with pre-rigged holes on either side of the cockpit. the rear two seat post holes are underneath the rear deck.
it's a great option for more deck for the rear and adds a ton of storage to a boat that already has a lot.

Low 40's . Never going to be possible in my circle of friends. I subscribe to Obamas class warfare policy that it is unfair that you can afford that while the average person can't. You should be taxed, taxed and taxed some more until you can only afford a little 16 footer like us poor people. Now that's fair. I'm going to call Kohl and Feingold tomorrow and suggest a luxury tax on all boats more than 20,000 with a extra surcharge on fiberglass. We must punish the rich who are getting fat off the poor just like Obama took the auto companies from their rightful owners and gave them to himself and the unions. You just have to love the socialist/fascist policies of today. Heil Obama

Don't you just love that it will be illegal for the dealerships to even sell the new cars on their lot once they loose their franchise.
