I just saw the youtube footage of that bait in the pool. It looks like it would catch a fish. Pretty cool

This bait has great action! You can actually fish the weeds with it as it not only rises during a pause in the retrieve but backs out as well. Solid construction. Just a matter of time before the word gets out.

I was reading the forum and I recognized the name, Livid Fish. I just picked one up at the New London show earlier this year. I'm taking it out this opening weekend up in Northern Wisconsin. I'll let you guys know how it worked out.

Hey thanks Guest. You guys have a really nice show down there. Visit the Naze Baits (www.nazebaits.com) website and let me know how you do...I would love to see photos if you nabbed something with the lure. Check out our newest lure on the website too...the Tin Head--jitterbug style, but bigger and displaces more water. We'll have inventory sometime this summer. Esox anglers are going to love it.

They look pretty cool. How bouyant are they? I am sure they troll good too.

Todd...the Livid Fish is not a weighted lure, so it is quite bouyant. It was designed to be used as a straight crank bait, but we have found ourselves using it just as much as a jerk bait. With that being said, it does rise, and does break the surface about three-four seconds after the pull. (Check out the pool demos on www.nazebaits.com ) We caught fish using it this way more in the last couple of years. The Livid Fish is like any other lure--there's an application for it, perhaps many, you would have to decide if it fits your style of fishing.

As for trolling, we've trolled the lure as fast as 7 miles an hour--just to try to push it to the limits. It trolled true. Now, it's also a wood bait and will sustain some abuse at higher speeds, but 2-4 mph you should be fine. You can get it down to 15-20 depending on speed and the line you have out. Thank for the interest in the lure!!!

Watched the video and I have to say that is a pretty "Livid" action. Really like the profile on it and how buoyant they are.

Some guides that tried them were split, some like the fast rise others want a more nuetral bouyancy. Again, to each their own. Thanks for the interest in the bait.
