Posts: 351 | Couple more ready to get wet. The first is a Rocket Shad, which is one of my designs that I haven't built for a while. Did this one in a chrome finish with a deep blue pearl scale on the back. The chrome has a fine scale pattern that appears and disappears as the bait moves: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have one more ready to post that I'll put up later today. Hope you guys like them. -Vince Edited by fatfingers 5/12/2009 12:42 PM

Posts: 910 Location: South-Central VA | Vince, that is a sick lure. Your work is some of the best I've ever seen. I have 14 lures ready for paint and I'd like to post pictures of them when I'm done...but next to your work, mine look terrible!!! This will only be my third batch of muskie lures. Can't wait to see the next one! jeremy

Posts: 351 | Thanks, guys, I appreciate the positive feedback. mnmusky101, they will both easily run in the 6 to 15 foot range while trolling, it that gives you some idea. Both have excellent action. The Perch is on its way to a customer already. I'm spending the day carving in the basement. I'm hoping to get about 6 more bodies done today. I carved 4 last night but my bandsaw blade is cooked so I'll need to head out and pick up a new one today. I'm going to build a few more Rocket Shads, a couple more Stubbydudes, which are a lot of fun to cast, and I'm going to build those 6 inch Appetizers (which are a smaller version of the Entre). Finally, I'm going to try to start some through-wired 6 inch baits in a natural Perch profile and maybe a couple walleye. That's if I can locate a bandsaw blade locally today (Saturday). I was going to go fishing, but its so windy here today and its still close to the spawning season so I'm just going to carve and paint all day. Should be fun! ![]()
