Subject: PA Musky fishing help

I will be heading out to PA next week for the Allegheny Field and Stream open house on Memorial Day weekend. I will be getting in a day early and I would like to do some Musky fishing. Dose any one have any suggestions? I should be able to fish 1 full day and 1 evening and a half a day on Monday before heading home. If any of you have some thoughts it would be greatly appreciated!!
I will be staying in East Warren that weekend so any thing in that area is good.

If you want to stay in PA, maybe Tionesta Lake.. check out this biologist report: http://www.fish.state.pa.us/images/fisheries/afm/2005/2x05_13tiones... -that was back in '05, I wonder how big that 45 pounder is now! I think Lake Chautauqua wouldn't be too far from there either. Good Luck and let us know how the weekend goes!

Look up red childress at allegheny guide service, he is a great guy and I am sure he would point you in a good direction and be able to tell you how far everything is in relation to the show..... good luck and I'll see you at the show.

Where is East Warren? The only Warren I know is on the Allegheny river below Allegheny Res (Kinua). If that's where you're going then you are in the right place for muskies and I'll second contacting Red Childress of allegheny guide service. I've been on a trip with him and frequent his website and the guy is very knowledgeable of the river. Good luck

allegheny river from kinzua to tionesta is a good place to start.... you will need a jet boat or expect to be fishing the banks...if you got a boat tionesta lake and trolling tactics..

Is the Allegheny that shallow? Is most of the fishing from small boats and or bank fishing?
I have not decided if I would bring my boat. We have not made all of the arrangments as to how we will be getting the fishing time in. But I would like to have some of this worked out early next week. If nessesary I could bring one of my boats.
Thanks for everyones help!!
I hope all of you can make it to the store and say HI.
