Location: Land of the Musky | What are the top three colors you like for polarized sunglasses for fishing and mirrored or non-mirrored? The Bill Dance 1984 WalMart Specials got to be replaced. They are worth WAY too much to use anymore  They are tan/brown and I like them but see a lot of choices out there and want to know the best for fishing. Never tired mirrored ones either. Do you see any difference between mirrored and non-mirrored?

Location: Pelican Rapids, MN | I prefer the Costa Del Mar 580 lenses. They block more levels of UV rays than any other brand of glasses. The 400 lenses are awesome as well I like the Yellow pair for low light conditions, they light everything up. Clear water, I prefer the 580 grey lenses, and turbid or stained water calls for the amber 580's. I have mirrored pairs but prefer not to wear them fishing. Years ago, I had a pair and noticed I had several muskies turn and burn at the end of their follow. I noticed on a video, on a high sun day, there was a reflection on the water from my mirrored glasses. Costa has a new Silver mirrored pair, with a non reflective mirroring. They are awesome. | I use Costa Del Mars in blue/grey for bright sunlight and green/brown for ealry and late in the day or on over cast days |

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | I have H3o glasses, I like the interchangeable lens, and if one gets scratch, I can buy just a replacement lens and not the frame. I think they have 5 different Pol. lenes to buy and clear lens for eye protection.

| Amber is supposed to provide the most contrast of all colors, which is why I get mine with amber. It is also effective in a wide variety of light situations. Contrast is especially important for my other hobby which is flyfishing. I do a lot of sight fishing, and you need to be able to make out the different contour lines in running water. I'll never recommend any different color for freshwater fishing unless you're getting several pairs. |

Location: Hayward, WI | Do the guys with the amber lenses feel they are dark enough on the bright sunny days? I heard amber is really good for seeing into the water, but that gray offers the best sun protection. It seems like I do fish a lot on bright days, and Iwant to make sure my eyes don't hurt at the end of the day if I only have an amber set of lenses.

| I've never had a problem with my eyes hurting. I've used them a lot in bright sun, and i think straining to see when sight fishing would be more taxing on my eyes than musky fishing. It's also very important to get glasses that fit very well and provide full coverage. |

Location: Land of the Musky | Thanks guys! Looks like the tan/brown/amber/copper won the toss up. My old ones are amber so that will be nice to stick with that color. I am used to brown water after this many years |

Location: Hastings, mn, 55033 | I've got 3 pairs...2 Costa Del Mar Brine frames, one with the 400 green mirror lens and one with the 580 blue mirror lens. And then a pair of Ocean Waves with the Crown Royal Illuminator lens.
Of the 3 I like the green mirror best for most situations. Under real bright sun the blue mirror performs better IMHO. Very early and late in the day the Illuminator lens is awesome. But if I had to go with only one pair it would be the green mirror lens, but would upgrade to the 580 glass. |

| Ocean Waves Backwater Green are by far the best I've ever used for both sunny and low light conditions. |
