Location: Baxter, MN | I have a LMS 334 and a new LMS 520, I am going to install the LMS 520 on my boat and I am wondering if network the two units will they share waypoints?
Can someone direct me to some online information that would help me with the networking of the two units?
Or is there no benifit to networking the two units together and I should just keep them setup individually?
Thanks. |

| I have those two exact graphs networked, all you need is the adapter to make the 334 compatible with the NMEA 2000 network cable, most sporting good stores/boat dealers have them in stock. Yes they will share waypoints |

Location: Grafton, WI | I'm pretty sure waypoints are the only thing you are going to be able to share. I had two LMS334's networked and ended up seperating them, selling one, and going with a locator only on the bow. Both are 5" lowrance units, so I can swap them bow / console depending on what kind of fishing I am doing. |

Location: Minnesota | Check out the lowrance website - type in a question and all sorts of answers pop up that you can read through. The waypoints will be shared but not the information on the map chip. You get the adaptor, hook them together, and even BFD should be able to figure it out from there.... |

Location: Baxter, MN | Thanks everyone. I understand that I will need a map chip in each unit, but they will share the waypoints that get saved on either unit. Is that correct?

Location: Twin Cities | Yes, they will share the same waypoints if you set them both up to do so. I believe its under the networking or NMEA2000 menu, you have to select the "share waypoints" check box.
I believe your 332 will also need to have at least the 1.8.0 version to work. |
