There is no plan of attack this weekend. I'm heading to northern pa tomorrow to scout out some streams to fish this fall. But with water temps in 80-85 range, won't be any fishing happening for another few weeks.

It's supposed to be nice out saturday which will bring everybody out. Will probably goto the chain or silver for the no-wake period and get off and goto bass pro.[:)]

I was thinking of taking the boy over to Lake Julian in Cary to check out the action. I‘ll probably concentrate on the lake up front. Any reports?[;)]

I was thinking about heading up to Pelican this past Saturday, but my Dad needs a hand cleaning out my grandparents garage and shed since it's sold. I figured what the heck since the lake hasn't been too kind to me this past year. Plus, with the scortching hot temps and cold front moving in, I might be better off taking a weekend off. Yeah I know...that's complete hog-wash when it comes to fishing. I just can't get my confidence up in the month of August. I'll save up some of my luck for the next month.[;)]

change of plans, waking up this morning with overcast skies, a little rain, and cooler temps, I will be headed out in about 45 min., taking off early from work, and see what happens.

I am stuck at work and it sucks. I have to work one Saturday morning a month for 4 hours. Its cloudy and there is a slight breeze, I feel like I am locked up in a prison.

I have to guide from 2pm to 10pm today, Sunday I am going to take my daughter muskie/bluegill fishing. Might even bring my wife Sunday if she is nice.

Hats off to Worrall today, he is wearing a tie!!!, that has only happened three times in his life.[]

You’re right, helluva Saturday to be working, my first this year. Finally getting busy. I need to work on my “multi-tasking” during the week to prevent this from happening again.
Good luck this afternoon. I think I’ll spend the afternoon marveling how good Heineken in a can is.

ToddM,,, Yes the mixed cloud cover helped alot. I was not too happy about having to guide starting at 2pm on Pewaukee with the boat traffic, but the fish were rocking. I had one client, because his partner did not show. So here is the list of fish my client caught yesterday afternoon.

Muskies
41
37
34
32

Pike
34
33
30
30
And one more rip he lost too. Yes all these were trolling fish.

Not bad for mid day boat traffic, I was surprised. I thought we would pick one or two up around 5pm or 6pm. But we had four muskies in the boat by 4pm..[]

Goes to show you, even if there is boat traffic and jet skies they still have to feed. This is not the first time I have done well in high boat traffic and sometimes its a topwater bite.
