I just purchased a speed sensor for a hummingbird 525 model sonar. I read the directions and didn't see anywhere on how it needs mounted. Does it need to be flush with the bottom? Or will it be ok if its down lower than flush? Im just looking to keep it as accurate as possible. Anyone with any experience please chim in, I appreicate it alot!!!
Thanks

they need to be mounted so that the mounting block is at the bottom of the transom. that will put the bottom half of the paddlewheel just below flush with the bottom of the boat to catch the water as it flows by.
