| I picked up some of these soft plastics feeling the need to try something different. Give the fish a different look. Has anyone had any luck with such baits and how have you fished them? How do you add weight to these things? Thanks for all suggestions and advice! |

| no weight. Just add the single hook and twitch and jerk it back to the boat. Sometimes we use these for vertical jigging for perch and walleye (european walleye) when the shads may not have too much action. But I heard those sluggo's and fin-s shads are good for shallow water jerkbaiting.
Maybe muskyone can help you out here, he got me a couple of these lures. |

| Cast_N-Blast I have fished these some, but haven't hooked up with a fish yet. I usually use them in the slop by just rigging them with the hook and no leader. Work them like a jerkbait. You can also fish them in open water by using the walk-the-dog method. Move a lot of fish with sluggo's but just can't get the hooks into the fish. If you want the sluugo to sink more just use a 7-strand leader. This gives the sluggo just enough weight to make it sink faster without hindering the action too much. Good luck. |

| You can fish them like a jerkbait, twitch em over shallow weeds is my favorite way. You can also fish them on a rise and fall, like you would if you were fishing a carolina rig for bass. The Fin-S shads need to be twitched quick, gives them great action. |
