I need the help of current Ranger owners....
I am currently developing two products/solutions for the Ranger owner:
A) A line of ClearView Musky tackle boxes that fit under the back casting deck platform/insert from the Ranger. It is my understanding the height may be different depending on the year and model. My goal is to maximize the height, but still fit. If you could provide:
1) the height from the floor to the bottom of the casting deck (under the fiberglass reinforcement that sticks down),
2) the year the Ranger boat, and
3) the model of the Ranger boat
B) I am well along on developing and building an integrated casting deck/ tackle box storage system replacing the casting deck insert/using the available space. The aluminum support infrastructure will be strong enough to hold a horse as the structural engineer has stated! The under-deck ClearView tackle boxes will be a standard size with varying divider set-ups available for flexibility. The ClearView boxes will be accessed from the lockable, carpeted top and removable as well as inter-changeable to meet the specific tackle needs based upon the time of year, type of lake/river, clarity of water, or to make room for a box or two from another Ranger owner with the same set-up who's jumping in the boat. I will post photos and further info in the future! Thanks in advance for your help.

The Height of the distance between floor and fiberglass reinforcement is 12 7/8" to 13". Push the carpet down a little and you can get slightly more than 13". I have a 2009 Ranger 619vs. Hope this helps.

This could be a very interesting product for those of us who want to maximize tackle storage and still have a casting deck. I talked to Bob at the St Paul show and quite a bit at the expo and I am very interested to see how these work out.

Same here, I am going to send him dimensions of my 690 and see what he can come up with.

I have a Ranger 620. I use the Dunrights. The biggest problem I face is that the handle on top of the box catches under the casting deck. Makes it difficult to pull the boxes out and push them back. Now if something could be designed that would put the tackle boxes on a locking track system allowing for quick access and storage that would be huge. Right now the only advantage to the stowable box is that it is out of the way, still not user friendly. Frankly, I have to think twice before I decide to change baits because of the hassle. Here's an idea. What if someone could design a carousel like bait holder that would be held secure by the hole in the casting deck now used as the pedastal slot. Then baits could easily be accesses by turning the wheel. Maybe I'm crazy but that would be awesom. I'm sure it's way harder to engineer into reality.

I bet the guys with a Tuffy Esox Deep V will like this idea too. In that case, we'd be designing a box that fits in the Deep V rear deck extension on both sides.
