It probably would help if you specified which lures you are referring to. I'm wouldn't put the same hook on a Believer that I would a 6 inch Jake....

If you need to purchase hooks contact James at Tacklebooty. I just ordered again from him and he's the BEST. Great prices and fast shipping. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I still have a few 3/0 round bend and and 6/0 3551 Mustad hooks. I am just selling them at my wholesale bulk cost. I bought over 15,000 for a project that never happened. LOL I also have #5 and #7 super strong Joe Bucher rings (silver type) if you need any of those. I only have about 20,000 of those left... [email protected]

PS-Just a suggestion but try to get hooks that are slightly wider than your bait. May help with hook-ups.

I would go with the 3/0 short shank mustads on all but the 10" believers, then i would go with a 5/0 mustad long shank.

all Burts including squirrely take 3/0 hooks
8" and 7" Believers take 3/0
10" Believers take 5/0
9" Ernie take 4/0 hooks
6" Lil' Ernie straight and jointed take 2/0 hooks
9" Doc take 5/0 hooks
7" Doc take a 4/0 in front and a 5/0 in back
6" Believers and Jakes both take 1/0 hooks

Mustad site has some nice charts showing the width and length of each hook they carry. Very helpful when your measuring hooks. Well, if you replace with Mustad I guess
