Final couple of days. Here is the flyer sent out. In addition to the beer and soda food will also be available for purchase. Hope you can make. There will be raffles. All proceeds from beer and soda and the raffles will go to the reproduction study that will take place on the river and the bay the next two years.

......that's right........

"Standing Room Only"....that's the name....it's Dennis Radloff's HARD rock band....and they are playing this Saturday at the Green Bay Yacht Club at 2:00 PM!!!!!

This event is open to the public and will begin at noon. It's a Musky Rally to help "Rock the Vote" for the Spring Hearings coming up on April 13....so we can get the 54" size limit passed, and to help raise money for the Green Bay Musky Spawn Study.

There will be 3 speakers to start the events with Shane Mason and Dennis Radloff talking about some Green Bay Muskies...followed by Greg Wells talking about the 54" size limit.....followed by some hard rockin' fun compliments of "Standing Room Only". (Dennis is the lead singer and bassist for the band)....if you like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Disturbed, 3 Days Grace, Tool, Hendrix, and other groups like those....then you will like "Standing Room Only's" set lists!!!!

Door open at 11:00 AM, there is a $10.00 cover charge which will get you free beer or soda the rest of the day, and the seminars, and..."Standing Room Only".........

The Green Bay Yacht Club is located on the east side of the Fox River, right at the mouth of the river, right across from the power plant. There is limited parking at the club but you can park in the south/east corner of the public boat launch directly adjacent to the entrance of the Yacht Club!

Hope to see you all there.........it's gonna ROCK!!!

Here, here! Primus would be great Dennis! A little Tommy the Cat, John the Fisherman, Sailing the Seas of Cheese, and Jerry was a Racecar Driver. Maybe Mr. Krinkle, My Name is Mud, and Wynona's Big Brown Beaver as well!

Travis, I didn't picture you as a Primus fan! Cool. Big Brown Beaver, that's funny I don't care who you are.

I know he has a hard voice to compete with but a little A7X would be awesome! Or as some people call them Avenged Sevenfold.

I might have to take a road trip on Saturday!

....if I had it my way we'd do three full sets of Primus :-).......

We have been working on John the Fisherman...not quite "show ready" yet....there is one Primus tune in the set list though....you'll have to attend to find out which one.....it's from the Frizzle Fry cd.

On a side note....I've been a Primus fan since the beginning....and in June of 2006 I actually guided Les Claypool on Okauchee Lake for muskies when he was in town with his solo band. It was AWESOME. They only had the tour bus so I picked him up in Milwaukee....I keep telling my wife when we finally get rid of the Expidition I'm pulling the seat he sat in and bolting it to the floor in my "jam room"...I know...it's border-line man crush.

If you like Primus check out the little side project Les Claypool did with Trey Anastasio(phish) and Stuart Copeland(police) they did a few shows together and a Cd. They called themselves Oysterhead. They had some sweet jams.

I had the good fortune of catching Primus just b4 they took off w/ Frizzle Fry. Saw them at the old O'Cayz Corral (r.i.p.) in Madison. Primus in a small club...blew me away. Not too long after they were huge. Caught them at lollapalooza. Great show but not the same experience.

....caught a 100 pound sturgeon on 20 pound test....

I have to admit, after I posted, I couldn't remember what year that was. 1990. wow time flies. The music is still fresh.

One of those great moments for the rock files.

Another great one for me was seeing the Afghan Whigs at a basement party in Minneapolis about 93 or 94. Not as well known band but an act I like a lot and influencial on me. Tthey were pretty big early to mid 90s. I couldn't believe it. This was a wrap party for a video shoot off the album Gentleman. They were on a major and playing bigger rooms like first ave but on this night there they were between the water heater and the furnace. Awesome to hear the tunes stripped down to the bare essence.

I think any one who plays will always look back fondly on their basement days.

Have a great show Dennis,
Jono

Wow, more Primus fans out there than I thought! Cool beans. I’ve got all there older cds, but none of the newer ones yet.

Frizzle Fry
Suck on This
Sailing the Seas of Cheese
Miscellaneous Debris
Pork Soda
Tails From the Punch Bowl
The Brown Album
Rhinoplasty
Antipop

I got one of my brothers into Primus and I am pretty sure he has Les’s first side project CD “Highball With the Devil”, as well as Les’s first band prior to Primus – Sausage “Riddles are Abound Tonight”. I’ll have to look into Oyserhead, Frog Brigade, as well as that Pink Floyd Animals CD since I like the Floyd version. Thanks guys! I wish I could have seen primus in a concert or two. That small venue deal Jono was to would have been great!

I think perhaps Dennis needs to working on those full sets of Primus covers for the celebration party when this 54” finally makes it through!

Gotta thank Shane Mason for having the idea of having Dennis’s band play at this gathering! Looking forward to attending this rally even more now.

When are the talks to start, and when does the music start? Is there an order of proceedings listed anywhere? I want to make sure I don’t miss any of this. What a day this shall be!

Watched les crack nice steelies on tv the other night in same area I was fishing in Alasaka. Wonder if that was him nodding as I turned the bass up when I drove by a similar looking spot 2 years ago.... Was trying to be like Jerry the race car driver, so never slowed down to see. If I remember correctly I believe Les and Co. were playing in Green Bay the night we saw Fugazi at the riverside ballroom in '95. still give my buddy greg heck about staying back in Point to court some2 bit flusie at the 'chick' house next door, missing one of the best shows I've ever seen. Jeremy, I see Phish is touring again. Erik just gave me a copy of the new Hampton show from a couple weeks ago. Not too shabby.

You guys ever hear of the band Drunk Drivers??? A dude gave me one of their cd's to seal an ice auger sale last year. Not too shabby. Can't remember who the guy was..........

Shane just called to talk about his gig. I think his hair metal singer bud Tommy Lee Flood gave him some singing lessons when he was in Florida last month. You might want to take note, and open any windows that could crack, if he decides to get brave and sneak up with Dennis later.....

Will think of you guys while I'm freezing my buns on the Brule.

C&R, and Titletown would like to thank those who attended and those who donated items to the raffles, special thanks to Terese Meverden who made a donation to the raffle in Ricks name. Other donors were Pure Fishing,(Wally Dueno) Dennis Radloff, Shane Mason, and Dan Lazzeroni. We made 1000 dollars for the reproduction study that is taking place the next two years.

Special thanks to Standing Room Only. Dennis' band did a great job and really added to the day. I don't think the members of the Yacht Club quite knew what was going on but for the most part they looked like they were having a good time also. If I get some pictures I will post them here later.

The purpose of the day was to rally the vote for the 54" size proposal on the river and the bay. Shane and Dennis did a great job with their presentations and now all that is left to do is on April 13th get out and vote at the Conservation Congress hearings.

I had a good time yesterday, thanks guys! Standing Room only really impressed me! If anyone gets a chance to see them do so. Lots of great tunes! Kudos to the one that stood up and sang impromto/unrehearesed with the band as well. Great job!

A bit surprised by the lack of turn out, but it still turned out to be a good day. Lets just hope more people turn out to vote!
