Subject: Sling Blade price?

Was wondering if anyone had another place selling for less than $330, I found one who doesnt charge tax or shipping, but was curious if anyone found a better deal?

I believe the price is the price.
I have known dealers to for less and no longer and sell St. Croix Rods.

Yep, St. Croix sets the price and doesn't allow anyone to sell it for less or more. Sometimes discontinued rods will go on sale, but the current stock is the same everywhere. Getting free shipping is as good as you'll be able to do.

I bet St. Croix would be interested in knowing who's discounting rods. Prices are set on current stock so the big dealers don't have a leg up on the little guys.

If its out of your price range just hold off a year or two and I would guess they will have it in the premier series just like the big dawg rod.

I talked to St. Croix and they are a little behind on keeping up with the demand of the Sling Blade. So if you are going to buy one I wouldnt wait to long.

Isn't that what the Premier 8'6" XH is right now?

That one is simular to the Big Dawg rod.
The Sling Blade is a 8'6"HF. The tip is a very fast action.

OH! My bad! I do think that Pro Edge says the 8'0 heavy is very similar, and you could get it custom built to 8'6" for less than the cost of the Sling Blade, and have fat cork, your guide choice, etc.

Thanks for the correction Capt. Blaine
